Eating Disorder Awareness Theme: It's time for change!

& National Nutrition Month Theme: Fuel the Future

​This group is designed for discussion and support of innate eating. The goal of innate eating is to learn to respond to inner body cues, distinguishing between physical and emotional feelings. It also involves knowledge of personal needs and mindful awareness. Innate eating concepts such as Intuitive Eating (by Evelyn Tribole & Elyse Resch) and Eating Competence (by Ellyn Satter) will be referenced. The purpose of this group meeting is to provide a supportive environment for those struggling with eating and/or body issues, but the discussion is open to anyone interested in providing positive input. Participants under 18 are welcome to join in with a signed consent from a parent or guardian.

 

Instructions for Online Participation: Contact Julie Brake in order to receive an e-mail with a link. Meetings will be on Microsoft Teams - you may use the Teams app or a browser of your choice. Participants may eat and/or drink during the meeting. You are asked to simply mute your microphone if you are eating and not speaking. Contact Julie with any questions.
